Railway cutting near Church Ope Cove.

The railway line used to curve to the right at this point and pass through a deep cutting with a fine stone bridge spanning it. This bridge was demolished to great local outrage as it made a public path impassable. The perpetrators of this vandalism put a crane jib down as a temporary bridge and later filled the cutting with stone waste.
